Sitting the family exam? The AANP-FNP and ANCC-FNP test banks are built and in final checks — they open next. Stay tuned.

Choose your tier

Every tier sits the same full-length exam, drawn from the whole bank. The tier decides how much you're told afterwards.

Core ANCC

PMHNP-BC Test Bank — Core

A PMHNP-BC test bank you sit the way the real exam is sat: full-length and timed, a new random draw every attempt, balanced the way the ANCC PMHNP-BC exam is. It covers all five content domains the ANCC scores — from neurobiology and board-depth psychopharmacology to DSM-5-TR diagnosis, psychotherapy and developmental theory, and psych-specific law and ethics.

What you get

  • The whole bank at every tier — no question is held back for a higher tier
  • Unlimited attempts — each one is a fresh random draw with the same blueprint balance
  • Your score by content area — on screen the moment you finish
  • A full rationale on every question — why the right answer is right, and why each other option is wrong

How it works

Sit it. Read the misses. Sit it again.

Four sittings tell you something one sitting never can: whether the thing you fixed stayed fixed.

  1. Pick your exam and your tier

Four certifications, three tiers. The exam engine is the same in all of them — the tier decides how much you're told afterwards.

  2. Sit a full-length exam

Real length, real clock, a fresh blueprint-balanced draw. Stamina is part of what the boards test, so we don't shorten it.

  3. Read every rationale

The rationales are the study material. Every "why this option is wrong" is a trap the exam will try on you again.

  4. Sit it again, and watch what moves

A new exam every attempt, so a second sitting is new evidence — not a memory test of the first one.

Inside the bank

Written by a nurse practitioner, not a question mill.

The questions are the product. Here's what goes into them.

Written from the published blueprint

Every question is original Latrina Walden Exam Solutions content, written from the board's own publicly published blueprint or test content outline — and cleared by Professor Walden before a student ever sees it.

Clinical Logic, not recall

The boards aren't checking whether you memorized a drug list — they're testing the decision. The distractors are built from the reasoning traps that actually cost candidates points.

A rationale on every option

Not just the key. Each wrong answer is explained too, because the near-miss option — the one that's partly right — is where most points go.

Side by side

What changes between the tiers.

The exam doesn't change. What you're told about your performance does.

Before you buy

Questions students actually ask

PMHNP-BC or PMHNP-C — which one do I need?

Choose by the board you registered with, not by your program. PMHNP-BC is the ANCC exam: 175 questions in 3.5 hours, with select-all-that-apply questions in the mix and a whole content domain on ethics, legal principles and cultural care. PMHNP-C is the AANPCB exam: 150 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours, every one built around a patient, balanced across the four steps of care and across your patients' ages.

They test the same practice in genuinely different shapes, which is why the banks aren't interchangeable.

What's the actual difference between Core, Plus and Complete?

Core is the exam itself: full length, timed, a fresh draw from the whole bank every attempt, with a rationale on every question and your breakdown on screen when you finish.

Plus adds the Readiness Report — the same attempt, read back to you as a ranked list of what to study first, and tracked across sittings so you can see what's moving.

Complete adds the Predictor: three set exams that don't change, so your score on one is comparable to your score on the next.

No question is held back for a higher tier. Every tier draws from the whole bank — what you buy further up the ladder is what you're told afterwards.

Will I see the same questions again if I sit it twice?

Not for a long time. Every attempt is drawn fresh from the whole bank and balanced to the blueprint, so a second sitting is a new exam rather than a memory test of the first one.

What is the Predictor, and why is it only in Complete?

The Predictor is three set exams — we call them forms. They are built to the blueprint, they are fixed, and no question appears on more than one of them. That's the opposite of the test bank, which draws a different exam for you every time.

Both matter, for different reasons. A fresh draw is better practice: it stops you memorizing the bank. But it also means every attempt is a slightly different test, so your score moves for reasons that have nothing to do with you. Because a Predictor form never changes, its number does mean the same thing every time — so sit form 1, study for a few weeks, sit form 2, and the gap between them is real progress.

Three forms is the ladder: one to start, one to check the work, one for the run-up to your exam date. Use the test bank for volume and stamina; use the Predictor to find out whether the work is landing.

Does a good score here mean I'll pass the boards?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Your readiness band and your readiness score show where you're tracking today, so you know what to study next. They are not a prediction of your board result, and no prep company can honestly give you one.

Are these real exam questions?

No — and you should be wary of anyone who says theirs are. Every question is original Latrina Walden Exam Solutions content, written from the board's publicly published blueprint or test content outline. Latrina Walden Exam Solutions is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the AANP, the AANPCB, or the ANCC.

I've paid — where do I actually take the exam?

In your web browser. There is nothing to download and nothing to install.

Go to www.latrinawaldenexamsolutions.com and sign in with the same email address you used at checkout. Your test bank is sitting on your student dashboard — open it and start the exam.

Buying from Professor Walden for the first time? Your account is made for you when you check out, so there is nothing to set up. If you have never chosen a password, use Forgot password on that sign-in page and you will be in within a minute. Already a student? It is the same dashboard your other courses are on.

One piece of advice: sit it on a laptop or desktop, with a clear stretch of time. This is a full-length timed exam, not something to dip into on your phone between patients.

Is this a subscription? How do I cancel?

Yes — it renews monthly until you cancel, and you keep access for the rest of the month you have paid for.

You cancel it yourself, any time, from the subscription page: go to your subscription portal and sign in with the email address on your order. Do it before your next billing date. If anything there looks wrong, email info@latrinawaldenexamsolutions.com and we will sort it out.

Can I start on Core and move up later?

Yes. Start where your budget is today. If you want the Readiness Report or the Predictor later, email info@latrinawaldenexamsolutions.com and we'll move you across.

I'm sitting the family exam, not psych. When can I buy?

Soon. The AANP-FNP and ANCC-FNP test banks are built and in final checks, and they open next. In the meantime the free Readiness Predictor covers the family certifications, so you can still find out where you're tracking today.

Is there a free way to see where I stand first?

Yes — it is on this page. The free Readiness Predictor is a short version of the same thing: about 20 minutes, and it gives you a readiness band and the areas costing you the most. There is one for the AANP and ANCC family exams, one for PMHNP and one for AGNP.

It is the cheapest way to find out whether you are closer than you think — or further.

What is a readiness band?

One of four signals — Strong, On Track, Building, or Not Yet — showing where you are tracking today, so you know what to study first. It is a snapshot to guide your studying, not a prediction of your board exam result.

Do I have to pay or enter a card for the free predictor?

No. The free predictors are $0. You create an account so we can send you the detailed report, and that is it — no card, no trial that quietly starts charging.

How is this different from the Academy?

The Academy is where Professor Walden teaches you Clinical Logic — six weeks, live, with her. The test bank is where you practice it under exam conditions.

Students who do both usually learn the reasoning in the Academy first, then spend the last stretch before their exam date sitting full-length exams. That is why Plus and Complete carry an Academy discount.

Start where you are.

You don't need to feel ready to sit a full-length exam. Sitting one is how you find out what ready would take.

Every question is original, proprietary Latrina Walden Exam Solutions content, written from the publicly published AANPCB and ANCC exam blueprints and test content outlines. None are actual exam questions. Latrina Walden Exam Solutions is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the AANP, the AANPCB, or the ANCC.

Your readiness band and readiness score show where you are tracking today, to guide your studying. They are not a prediction of your board exam result.
