AGNP (Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner) and FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) are both advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) who provide primary care services. However, they differ primarily in the age range of patients they serve.

FNP: Focuses on patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. They offer comprehensive primary care services across the lifespan.
AGNP: Specializes in the care of adults and older adults. They provide primary care services, acute care, and long-term care for this population.

There are two primary types of Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNPs):

Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP or AGNP-PC): These NPs focus on providing primary care services to adults and older adults. They manage chronic conditions, conduct preventive care, and diagnose and treat acute illnesses.
